Fayette Ludovic Robinson, famous as “Yankee” Robinson, had by 1875 become one of the better-known showmen in America. Yankee Robinson died September 4 1884.  Composer Fred K Huffer composed "Yankee Robinson" in 1915. It was more of a tribute to Yankee Robinson the showman rather than being performed by Robinson's circus band.
